Agentul de asigurare este persoana fizică sau juridică împuternicită, în baza autorizării unui asigurător ori reasigurator, să încheie în numele şi în contul asigurătorului sau reasiguratorului, contracte de asigurare ori de reasigurare cu terţii, conform condiţiilor stipulate în contractul de mandat încheiat, fără să aibă calitatea de asigurator/reasigurator, broker de asigurare şi/sau de reasigurare (art. 2 din Legea nr. 32/2000).
În cazul în care vrei să te angajezi într-o companie și nu vrei să devii agent de asigurări individual, există firme care sunt dispuse să angajeze fără să ceară experiență. De multe ori, acestea vor organiza traininguri speciale pentru agenții de asigurări.
Dacă îți dorești să urmezi această carieră și crezi că ai calitățile necesare, atunci trebuie să obții licența de agent de asigurare. Pentru a obține licența, este suficient să urmezi un curs și să promovezi examenul de calificare profesională în domeniul asigurărilor. Avantajul este că acest curs poate fi urmat online.
După ce promovezi examenul, vei obține o diplomă care atestă pregătirea ta pentru a lucra în acest domeniu ca agent de asigurări sau broker de asigurări.
Totuși, o altă condiție pe care trebuie să o îndeplinească o persoană pentru a deveni agent de asigurări este să dețină cel puțin o diplomă de liceu.
