This is a very rare, authentic shirt made to the same specifications that the players wore on the field. It features the original Lextra felt McManaman nameset and embroidered “FIFA WORLD CUP FRANCE 98” detailing on the front. I bought it from the “authentic” section at Vintage Sports Soccer in Kichijoji, a highly reputable and ultra-professional shop run by experts.It is in almost mint condition. The material still feels smooth and crisp, the stitching is tight and the colours are vivid. One or two minor bobbles, some hardly noticeable fading to the border of the England badge, and the sizing details have worn off the label. The size is U.K. XL and is the same fit that the athletes wore (see final pic).
